James Brower and Cade Bowlin from the Idaho Fish and Game Upper Snake River Basin in Idaho Falls stressed safety in Wildlife Encounters while sharing their space at the last Nature Talk of 2025.

“The use of Bear Aware principles and being proactive in securing food sources is vital to preventing conflicts with bears,” stated James Brower.

Both stressed a few simple action will go a long ways to help keep both people and bears safe. Check the reminders of camping, hiking and living in bear country on IDFG website.
